0

Frozen shoulder is a painful condition that causes stiffness, reduced mobility and pain in the shoulder. You may try everything (medications, physiotherapy, steroid injections) to relieve the pain, and yet, you are not able to get rid of the pain. Our suggestion is to try a natural treatment!

What Is Frozen Shoulder?

Frozen shoulder, or also known as adhesive capsulitis is an inflammation of the capsule of the humerus. The shoulder joint has an articular capsule of the humerus, a very loosejoint capsule. The connective tissue can become stiff and inflamed.

In many cases, frozen shoulder occurs to one shoulder at a time. This can restrict the series of movements in the shoulder and you may experience stiffness or tightness.

You will experience constant pain which becomes worse with cold weather or in the night. If not treated on time, this condition may lead to an extent when you will not be able to raise your arm.

Anti-Inflammatory Juices

Drinking anti-inflammatory juices is a natural way to prevent inflammation and other inflammatory conditions. The following juice recipes are incredibly beneficial and can offer incredible results. They will speed up the recovery procedure and get rid of the inflammation in your shoulder.

Beetroot Juice

Beetroot contains carotenoids, betalains, ascorbic acid, phenolic acids and flavonoids which have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and can effectively reduce oxidative stress and chronic inflammation.

Needed Ingredients:

  • 6 big beetroots– cut off both ends and scrub clean under running water, juice with peel
  • 1 lemon– cut off both ends of the lemon and quarter it, juice with peel
  • 1-inch ginger root

Instructions:
Take the beetroots, cut off both ends, and scrub clean under water. Cut off both ends of the lemon and quarter it. Put all the components in a juicer and that is it! This should make 1 liter/quart of juice.

Keep in mind: If you drink beetroot juice for the first time, make sure to start with a little juice in order to see how your body will respond to it. If there are any responses, drink a lot of water and less juice. Slowly increase the amount so you can prepare your body for the next time.

Pineapple Juice

Pineapple is loaded with bromelain, an enzyme that possesses analgesic properties. It is very helpful for treating chronic swelling and diseases. It can function as a natural painkiller and it contains numerous nutrients that can heal inflammation.

Needed Ingredients:

  • 1 whole pineapple– cut off the crown and tough skin, then cut the yellow flesh into smaller sized pieces to fit through your juicer chute
  • 6 ribs of celery
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1-inch ginger root
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional but works to support your healing).

Instructions:
Take the pineapple and cut off the crown and thorny skin. Then, cut the yellow flesh into smaller sized pieces. Put all the ingredients in your juicer and that is it! This should make about 1 liter/quart of juice.

How Much To Drink And For How Long
All of it depends on how serious your condition is. It is recommended to make 1 liter of juice every day. Divide it into 3 portions, and drink them in the morning, afternoon, and night, on empty stomach, 15 minutes before your meal.

Keep in mind: People struggling with diabetic, low blood pressure, a blood condition or yeast infection should consume 500ml/day. Make sure to divide the juice into 2 portions for morning and afternoon.

You should also avoid inflammatory-causing foods and include more foods that can effectively eliminate inflammation. If you take any medications, make sure to drink your juices 2 hours apart from medication.

These juices are incredibly powerful so after the first day, you may experience some improvement. You should continue consuming these juices on the second and third day. If you wonder how many days more you should drink, it depends on you! Drink these juices until you entirely eliminate the pain. It may take 3 days, or 14 days!
