Ingredients:

  • Ginger root
  • Horseradish root
  • Unrefined apple cider vinegar

Preparation:
This tonic is prepared as any tincture: put the plants in a bowl, pour the apple vinegar, as much as it is needed to cover all the plants.
Then peel and finely slice the veggies, put all the components in a big glass jar and cover it completely with apple cider vinegar, the vinegar must be poured three fingers above the plants and vegetables. Cover it and by holding the lid in place, shake the tonic so it can be mixed.
Leave the tonic to sit in a dark place for at least 2 to six weeks. The longer it stands, the more powerful it will be, however occasionally you should shake it once again.


Straining:
For simpler storage and use, strain the tincture. You will need loose materials– gauze or some type of wipes, big container and stainless steel strainer that fits the size of the container. If you do not have this kind of “tool”, you can put a cloth over the opening jar and pour until all the liquid comes out, however you will lose a lot.
Place the strainer in a bowl and cover it with gauze. Pour the contents of the jar into the strainer. Take something with which you are going to press the mix of to the remaining juices that will come out.
You can pour the tonic into little jars or you can pour it in the big, pre-washed jar again.
Dark bottle is the best choice, as it minimizes the damage from light. Store it in a dark, cool place. The remains of plants and vegetables can be frozen or added to soups and other meals.

Dose:
After the tonic is ready, you can begin with the daily consumption, or use it if is essential– for better digestion, immunity and treatment of numerous illness. Keep in mind, you are drinking very powerful herbs and spices, it will not be very delicious, but you can add a little natural honey.
