Grant Imahara, host of the mind-blowing show Mythbusters, was at it again. This time, he didn’t set out to get involved with crash test dummies or dynamites. Instead, he recently focused McDonald’s french fries.
According to Natural News, you might be stunned at some of the things he discovered listed in the french fries ingredients, including dimethylpolysiloxane (a type of silicone), tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ– a petroleum-based chemical), and hydrogenated soybean oil.
By now you’re probably preparing for the punch-line: Those are things that are bad for you! Like not even real food bad for you!
Okay, now that we’ve gotten our mock outrage out of the way, let’s skip ahead to the takeaways:
McDonald’s fries aren’t good for you. Gee, we didn’t know! There are things in McDonald’s french fries that aren’t in fact food products. Again, shocking! The human body isn’t really supposed to eat silicone. Also with TBHQ. Both of those things are in McDonald’s french fries. Maybe don’t eat McDonald’s fries. Alright, we’re all clear? Excellent!
